South Loop is known as Chicago’s fastest growing neighborhood. Directly bordering downtown, it offers residence to the many young families who have businesses in The Loop, Chicago’s ‘Manhattan.’ It is also home to large numbers of young professionals and a handful of boutique college campuses. South Loop boasts an estimated 4,500 Jewish residents and 650 Jewish students.

The need for a Jewish infrastracture to serve the young families and singles in South Loop is pressing.

We, Rabbi Mordechai and Mushky Gershon, are moving into South Loop this month and are excited to take on the responsibility of establishing a Chabad Center in the neighborhood.
