Charidy was born in the wake of the last financial crisis. It became clear that more people wanted to take control of the good future of their communities. We took our first steps in the high energy organic crowdfunding scene of the hasidic community where the concepts of Tzedaka and Hesed—charitable giving and benefaction—were passed down from generation to generation since the dawn of the Jewish people.

The first campaigns we mobilized helped fund new buildings, school programs, special activities, and emergency medical procedures. But the underlying principles we developed hold precious value for any organizer, mobilizer, or marketing director who seek to do good in their community. Because anyone who’s ever started a charity, did so to make a positive impact and not because they knew how to crowdfund, we committed to supporting marketing directors and community organizers from the very first moment and help them discover their own abilities to inspire and move people to give. We do it by taking care of the strategic layer, the technical layer, and the community management aspect.
