THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
The Hinda Institute needs your help, and today we have the power to take HINDA’s work to the next level. Partner with us as we bring light and love to the darkest of places. The mission of the HINDA Institute is to reach every single Jewish prisoner throughout the Illinois correctional system.
For a population who is generally forgotten by society, visits from a HINDA rabbi make life-changing differences in the lives of our clients.
HINDA Institute Rabbis listen, counsel, inspire, teach, share and help spouses, parents, children, inmates, and ex-offenders, offering healing to the individual, the family, the community and society, with material, spiritual, educational, and social support.
The vast majority of those who stay in touch with a HINDA rabbi stay out of the criminal justice system for good. Compare that to a national 70% recidivism rate, and you’ll see the sense in helping HINDA’s effective and valuable work.
Our brothers and sisters behind bars NEED YOUR HELP!
Start off your year-end giving right and be a part of HINDA’s life-changing work!
HOW IT WORKS:
Every penny you donate is DOUBLED! For every dollar you give, The HINDA Institute will get $2. Every dollar will be matched by our team of generous benefactors, to help us reach our goal of $60,000.
Remember: The campaign is ALL OR NOTHING – we must raise the full amount within 24 hours, or all donations will be returned.
Your support will allow us to ENSURE that #HINDAHELPS.

The HINDA Institute is an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Jewish inmates and their families. Through holiday programs, prison visitation, and the formation of support networks, The HINDA Institute supports the families of inmates and works on successful re-entry when the time comes.
The HINDA Institute was founded by Rabbi Binyomin Scheiman who is assisted by his sons - Rabbis Schneur, Chaim, and Mendel Scheiman - and volunteers from the community in traveling through the State of Illinois, making sure that any Jewish inmate who is currently in a correctional facility receives a visit from a friendly face.
Today, you have the unique opportunity to maximize your donation to The HINDA Institute. Your support will enable us to continue with our mission of transforming darkness to light.
