About Charidy

Charidy provides an online platform (“”) and consulting services which empowers nonprofit organizations (“Nonprofits”) to increase their fundraising goals and numbers of their donors. Through our platform, Nonprofits run campaigns to raise money for certain charitable projects or for their general organizational activities. Individuals also use as a platform to raise funds for personal efforts

Although Charidy’s headquarters are in the US, as a platform, is an online platform accessible globally to individuals and Nonprofits around the world, whether as donors or campaign organizers. As such, it is Charidy's approach to work with campaign organizers to comply with the privacy laws in the jurisdiction in which the campaign is run. Charidy has certified with the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of “personal data” from applicable European countries.

Honesty and transparency are imperative at Charidy. It is important that the Charidy leadership and Team maintain a standard of open and transparent communication between each other and with our clients. Information you give us directly


Although donors will register through the Nonprofit’s campaign set up on , as an individual, you may also register an account directly with , allowing you to participate as a donor in all active campaigns on the platform whether run by a nonprofit or an individual. To register your account, we collect your contact information (name, address, email, phone). When you donate, we ask you to provide the gift amount and credit card or other payment information. You may also provide a message to accompany your gift, and how you wish your name to appear on the website.

Campaign Organizers:

Although organizers of campaigns are Nonprofit organizations, individuals may also use Charidy’s fundraising platform to conduct a campaign for personal reasons. When this happens, we will collect information to set up your account including payment information.

Social Media

When you interact with us on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter we may obtain information about you (for example, when you publicly tag us in an event photo). The information we receive will depend on the privacy preferences you have set on those types of platforms.

When you contact us

We collect information from you (including, but not limited to, your name, email address, and location) when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, respond to one of our surveys, provide us with feedback or subscribe to Charidy’s newsletter.

to identify you when you sign-in to your account and administer your account or funds received

Disclosing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so.
