Very Special Kids House is the only children’s hospice in Victoria. That means, if families can’t come to us for support, they may have nowhere else to turn. That is why it is so important that we are always ready for any family and child who needs us, like Mia.

Mia was born with a life-limiting condition called holoprosencephaly—a birth defect of the brain.

Her mum Margie would do anything for Mia—but it is utterly exhausting and incredibly difficult to keep up with Mia’s complex care, 24 hours a day.
